IMAGING CENTRE

An Open-Access imaging facility dedicated to bioimaging experiments in Africa 

Hosted at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, within the Institute for Infectious Disease and Molecular Medicine, the AMI Imaging Center houses a fleet of advanced, commercial light microscopes. These instruments are tailored for use in the life sciences and provide high spatial and temporal resolution to study a variety of biology.

 

Equipped with ancillary infrastructure that includes cell culture equipment, molecular biology equipment, the Imaging Center offers advanced microscopy instruments on an open-access basis to scientists working in Africa.

 

The AMI Imaging Center is FREE to collaborate with and perform experiments at. We are excited to work with researchers in Africa from the inception of any experimental goal or biological hypothesis until final data is published.
